About
I'm Sun — an infrastructure engineer by trade. By day I work on enterprise virtualization and cloud migration; by night I run this lab as a place to learn deeper, build freely, and keep my own data under my own roof.
The philosophy
- Self-hosted over cloud, where it's reasonable — for privacy and control.
- Enterprise-grade habits, hobby budget — infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, backups, and documentation, the same way a real shop would.
- Document everything. If it isn't written down, it didn't happen.
- Have fun. The lab is allowed to exist just because tinkering is good for the soul.
Why this site exists
Friends and coworkers keep asking what a homelab is and whether they should have one. This is the primer — a friendly tour, and the written outline for a video I haven't filmed yet. If it nudges you toward spinning up your own, it did its job.
